Career guidance from a faith-based perspective.
The advice on this site can help anybody get a job. You don't have to be religious or share my faith to find value here. But having lived both with the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and without, I know the difference that divine direction can make in all things--especially in something as important as providing for your family.
~ Shelley Hunter, Founder
I had been in my job for over 17 years when I realized I had to make a job change.
I was lost; I didn’t know where to start. I spoke with Shelley and she got me on track.
She took the time to talk with me, playing both the role as psychologist and career counselor. She asked a series of questions to learn my experience and skill set and helped put it all down on paper. I ended up with a great looking resume that helped me present myself to future employers. I ended up with newfound confidence in myself, a newfound belief in my marketability. I ended up with a GREAT, NEW JOB!!!!!
Thank you Shelley for believing in me, talking me off several ledges, and leading me down my career path.
I never realized that I had such a good resume until Shelley started working with me. She is very thorough and knows what employers are looking for. I highly recommend her.
Starting over is hard, daunting, stressful and overwhelming.
That was the dilemma I faced after being a California native for 41 years and moving to Utah to start a new life. In California, I had a reputation for being a hard worker so business owners often recruited me from one challenging job opportunity to the next. But starting anew and without having relationships in the area, created a lot of uncertainty and I questioned my abilities.
I reached out to Shelley to help guide and direct me. Shelley sent job leads she felt would be a good match for me, counseled me on career opportunities, and helped me create an outstanding resume.
Shelley took the time to meet with me several times to really understand me and the direction I wanted my life to go. Shelley has the gift of wisdom and freely shares it with those that seek her advice. She gave me confidence in my abilities as a person and as an employee.
Shelley helped me see the big picture and for that I will be forever grateful for her!

What is Faithful Career Moves?
Faithful Career Moves is a website dedicated to helping people confidently enter the job market, improve their employment, start side gigs, or create small businesses by partnering with a higher power.
This is not to say that you'll find "hidden menu" secrets or a fast path to success. No, in fact, the career advice you'll find on this site can apply to anyone, regardless of their belief system.
But as someone who worked solo for many years, I can tell you with 100% conviction that the day I started partnering with Christ in all things is the day that the details of my career also started to fall into place and the ups and downs started to feel purposeful. I felt peace in the disappointments and more blessed in the triumphs. I stopped worrying so much about the "what ifs" and started recognizing the hand of God in the day-to-day.
Knowing the source of my success made all the difference and gave me the comfort and encouragement I needed to venture even further.
This website offers a combination of career and spiritual guidance because I can no longer separate the two.
“And behold, all that he requires of you is to keep his commandments; and he has promised you that if ye would keep his commandments ye should prosper in the land; and he never doth vary from that which he hath said; therefore, if ye do keep his commandments he doth bless you and prosper you.”
